Yes, the article covers that, assuming I haven't linked to another one of Craig's.. It's possible there were be a variety of ways. It just requires people to analyse the cases data may be lost, and build solutions that cover them. -- rt12
I used to think seed phrase recovery was reliable. Since it is effectively looking for UTXOs via brute force (albiet deterministically) I am beginning to see that in many cases, it just wouldnt make sense at all.

We need to step back and look at the database export/recovery problem as a whole, and not necessary tie it to the requirement that whatever replaces it is seed word based. -- rt12
