The old days of Yours … is anyone here remembering yours not the wallet but the blog site? As everything made by Ryan it lacked consistency, which is the strength of Treechat.
However something nice of yours was that you could earn by liking something first.
There was an incentive to upvote good content

i really like this idea... how can we have competition/speculation to identify valuable content
It's a good idea but it's more complicated because on treechat 'likes' are not equal in value. You'll have to consider carefully how you gamify it.
a simple way is to distribute some percentage... 5% for example of each upvalue to all prior upvaluers in proportion of their upvalue
