OK, this took waaay longer than it should have! Could you guys submit a valid equation or sum in this game and check that all is working please? I added a fun little animation. Did you see the robot animation too?
Is the music toggle working as well? The robot animation works once when you mouse over it, but after that you need to add equations to see it again.

i feel like there needs to be a way to edit the existing equation... im not sure what that could be... one simple change would be a delete button, i feel like as the equation gets more complicated each cell becomes more and more high stakes but not bc of my math skill...
Hehe, well if you touch the operators and numbers they should be disappearing now….hopefully. So you should be able to walk it back without clearing the lot.
Thanks for the testing! I appreciate it. I’d love to know if your daughter finds the robot funny or creepy? I showed my younger son and he thought it was creepy, though he never misses an opportunity to take a shot at the things I’ve made, so I don’t take it to heart ;).
Finally found time for Sofia to try it. She's playing it now over screen time which is a pretty big endorsement! She's just doing simple problems, mostly addition and some substraction
Also, I think I found a way to game your game... if you just "get" to a 0 on either side of the equation you can basically take up the whole board in a giant multiplication equality... i wonder if you should limit 0's to keep it interesting
Wow, I'd love to see that and how many points you get? I've done some pretty long ones with the zeroes, but never the whole board! I'll have a think about that. Ingenuity should be rewarded, but don't want to cancel out the game either. Thanks again for the feedback, it's pure gold!
Haha! I think sofia is top of the leaderboard with my trick! I'll make you a video of it in a bit, but it's awesome because I ended up teaching her about parenthesis and order of operations to explain the hack so from my perspective your game has paid off forever
