Ok, I clicked enter again by accident^^.
Second try:

Jesus had only two cheeks.
The new testament came after the old testament, where disputes were handled by "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth".
So giving someone a second chance and not going completely nuts was probably kinda revolutionary.
But since Jesus only got two cheeks, he probably would have had some concerns when he got hit a second and a third time.
And he probably didn't bent over to present his other two cheeks.
Since everybody can make a mistake once, we should think about giving second chances.

The analogy reminds me of a concept out of Richard Dawkin's "The selfish Gene", where different algorithms compete against each other in a prisoners dilemma.
The best performing algorithm was a "forgiving tit for tat strategy".
Which means, that the algorithm forgave one mistake, but not a second one.
