i often get into debates where i am labeled a conspiracy theorist, and my retort is that my debate opponent is themselves a conspiracy theorist it's just that they're getting their theory from the government

Ask them how a conspiracy theory differs from a normal theory and why they are putting the word conspiracy in front instead of just falsifying/disproving it.
Most of the time it won't work though, because most people from this spectrum lack the mental capacity and objectivity to get the point.
