however op return data attached to spent utxos, or to 0 sat outpoints, may be pruned by miners according to their internal policy bc they may only be interested in the cash use case as bittails has signaled for example. on the other hand @kurtwuckertjr has said that gorilla pool will keep all data in order to act as a data broker, and i believe there will be archiving services as well that may require a small fee to access any pruned data, not to mention the various apps that store the data offchain like treechat for example. so the answer is... its nuanced

Another thing that bothered me was the part about "Treechat stores data off-chain." I thought all Treechat posts were stored on-chain?
