Kamala couldn't do Iran and Venezuela without looking bad. They needed Trump to do it, so they can criticize it, while secretly being pleased with how he advances the agenda.
Letting the "right" do the dirty work for the Party was and is a great strategy.
And on top of that, the people are largely fed up with the agenda and the Party NEEDS anti-genda, anti-estamblishment candidates.
They are the only ones that can win elections for the Party.
