I have noticed a lot of people throwing money around on new small projects like cityonchain. I would caution you from speculating with large sums of money on supposed digital property. The failure rate for tech startups is 90%.

I've spent my $3 there and that's enough :) until it shows real potential that I can build something on. Still very interesting how these old concepts come back with new plots, but now on Bitcoin.
Yeah, I think that throwing a few bucks into every project is completely fine. I am worried about people spending hundreds to thousands on a "particular location" on the expectation that this project will be used by the entire world. Possible but doubtful.
