Why does the preoccupation of superiority even matter!

Nature has equipped you with a sense of superiority because it matters.
It is fundamental to ones social status which in turn feeds back in to ones self-esteem.
As a normal course of being, one should fluctuate between superiority and inferiority dependant on the environment and company.
To have no sense of superiority or inferiority makes you a robot.
Over indulgence in either direction as we know can lead to a problematic personality.
Use your sense of superiority and inferiority to your advantage in terms of enhancing your situational awareness.
