There are other emails from known entities using the cover of spam to advertise products as coded messages on the mailing list. This email is someone that understood that this list is where many of those responsible for what they saw messaged one another for various reasons.

in other words use the search function now you know how it works, I know a little janky, to find emails from around the same time period that might have coded language in it that could be decoded into a secret message... I know it sounds unrealistic but remember we are dealing with potentially criminal cryptographers.
