and apparently he refused, continuing to hang around, getting interviewed by michael moore for fahrenheit 9/11 and eventually apparently being kidnapped and murdered by zarqawi.

and apparently he was investigated after 9/11 because a conspirator had 'used his email address', which is explained as a chance encounter on a bus in oklahoma where the conspirator borrowed his laptop.
