totally the same here, it is killing my time and yet I have such a hard time dropping that bad habit. I use my phone for sleep tracking which may not so great if it means I lose so much time every morning, rather put it far away from bed I guess

I turn on music and do hand to heart breathing exercise before checking notifications in the morning.

I had this issue to. Simple solution is to leave phone outside the bedroom.
