You could monetize every aspect of the experience - get paid for valuable posts a-la Twetch, but also cut in moderators and curators.
I don't have time to build this now but may revisit in a few months if nobody runs with it.

@397 I was just telling someone over DM that Haichan is the closest thing we have to this idea and a fantastic start :D
My only problem with Haichan is that it's too cheap. I would be happy paying more when posting to finance its development.
