Does there need to be a distinction between fleeting and permanent then?

the difference in my knov practice is that "permanent" are those that are re-used... that are quoted, and upvoted... a "fleeting" note naturally becomes permanent due to its relevance to my current set of projects or thought-occupation
I think this will be helped by the incorporation of the upvoting prioritization in search later. Right now less pertinent fleeting notes could appear at the top because of recency.
yes... the search is still barely functional
lots of room to improve here and i notice you doing this w_11 style tagging which i think is an interesting approach
the first step is to build this branching structure in which to seamlessly record the searches, to automate these weaker/implicit links... but as the search improves even these weak dynamic links will grow more useful
