I mute & and unfollow ANY climate change propagandist and people that are anti MAGA I don’t care who your are. I have standards

Twetch ·
you gonna have to mute calvin ayre then he shills climate change propaganda nonstop lol
Twetch ·
(Un)fortunately, you can’t mute or block us here.
I’m not sure how people can be so clear about BSV, and so unclear about other things, like how modern humans are effecting climate.
Twetch ·
Do you agree that the earth is polluted?
Twetch ·
>Do you agree that the earth is polluted?
Compared to what?
It's like asking "You agree the Earth has years?" or "You agree this wine is aged?" or "Does the sun shine a lot?"
Answer is "Yes". But the answer is devoid of actionable information.
Twetch ·
I did mute Calvin and unfollowed . I mean business. I will just promote CoinGeek articles Calvin gets no RT or help from Salty & Yes we need to do our best to not pollute . Clean air & clean water . No taxing cow farts or stopping the poor from accessing.

Shoot... bug* 🐛 population

The reduction of trees and other plants will naturally increase carbon & reduce oxygen levels, which is bad for humanity.
Twetch ·
What about the drastic reduction of big population globally in the last century? What about the countless species that are now extinct? Do we really not think these things are going to effect the health of the ecosystem?
Twetch ·
We are carbon based life forms. Eat carbon inhaling plants and we exhale carbon.
In what sense is it "bad for humanity"?
Twetch ·
Plant trees!
Twetch ·
Higher carbon levels in the air we breathe become detrimental for the ecosystem, that is your body. The carbon levels before humans started burning fossil fuels were around 200 ppm. We are now more than double that. Already causing respiratory problems
Twetch ·
Attila, carbon is the waste gas that we breathe resulting as we absorb oxygen through our lungs. All of our cells need oxygen. Higher oxygen levels are better for most every living thing, including plants.
Twetch ·
There is zero evidence (that was not debunked) that indicates the current state of affairs with higher ppm of CO2 is detrimental to human health.
I'm open to new evidence. Do you have a citation?
Twetch ·
I agree carbon has minimal harmful effects until 2,000+ ppm, we have only gone from 200 to 400+ ppm.
I concede that we are safe here.
I also see that our planet is a very intricately balanced ecosystem and humans are rapidly & drastically shifting it.
Twetch ·
What do we expect to happen?
Zoom out.
We are not taking care of this planet. Extreme weather is getting more extreme by the decade.
The earth is groaning. She will do another reset (mass extinction), if we continue the direction we are going.
Twetch ·
>We are not taking care of this planet. Extreme weather is getting more extreme by the decade.
When do you plan to demolish your house and property and plant trees?
Or are you merely judging how other people's use their property land and water?
Twetch ·
>I also see that our planet is a very intricately balanced ecosystem and humans are rapidly & drastically shifting it.
This is a testable scientific claim. Do you have a citation?
>Extreme weather is getting more extreme by the decade.

According to a 2015 study by the National Autonomous University (UNAM), 477 species have disappeared since 1900 due to our degradation and destruction of their natural habitats. The researchers said it was the largest mass extinction of species in history.
Twetch ·
I am simply suggesting we rethink our relationship with the earth.
Twetch ·
A new study suggests that 40 percent of insect species are in decline, a sobering finding that has jarred researchers worldwide.
-National Geographic
Twetch ·
I’m not judging individuals. The book Noah’s Garden talks about how much we could heal the planet if we each changed our yard.
I’m saying as a whole. We are wasteful and we pollute. We use oil and coal more than we have to.
Twetch ·
>A new study suggests that 40 percent of insect species are in decline, a sobering finding that has jarred researchers worldwide.
Compared to what baseline? Like saying "That's a big number!"
But compared to what? It's not scientific nor actionable.
Twetch ·
99.9% of species that ever existed are extinct. Good. They were clearly too weak or too delicious (or both)
https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/evolution/extinction/massext/statement_03.html
Twetch ·
Meanwhile Human population is well over 7B. We have more plant life than ever before and so much many exponential advances.
Is 40% insect decline too low or too high? 10%? 80%?
It all means nothing without a comparison and falsifiable hypothesis
Twetch ·
99.9% of species have gone extinct over the course of hundreds of millions of years. For so many to have gone extinct in one century is entirely different. On Earth’s long time scale, we are hitting very suddenly.
Like fast spreading cancer.
Twetch ·
I don’t know it all. I am more spiritual than I am scientific. I tend to study several topics broadly and look for the common thread, or over-arching theme in them.
I see that our western/white conscious doesn’t value living things like we should.
Twetch ·
And I know that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction...
I would rather put all my energy toward caring for the planet, than the other way around.
Twetch ·
I care too. But here's the thing:
Without a rational scientific basis it is actually easy to Do More Harm than good
Twetch ·
Like recycling actually wastes more pollution than not recycling.
Using recycled bags instead of one use actually causes more damage!
Twetch ·
If we do not ground decisions in science (reality) then we merely feed our narcissism, deny other's their property rights and then still pollute even more!
Twetch ·
Precisely because I care about Earth-Human well being is why I'm so keen on understanding the truth.
Without seeking the truth based on facts and logic.... it is just another religion (ie: Climatism)
Twetch ·
I am not dismissing science, nor do I deny its importance.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/climate.nasa.gov/scientific-consensus.amp
Twetch ·
All of the studies they refer to have been debunked. I'm serious.
The truth is not about the "consensus" of a bunch of organizations that take government money.
There is a conflict of interest there. And studies seriously flawed.
Twetch ·
If we relied on "consensus" then we would *know* that 'Slavery was an economic positive and benefit -- it gives us cheaper garments and gives them slow-folk jobs' .
(Yes those were real arguments given for hundred of years)
