The mute feature here only works so long as you don't click into a thread where someone you have muted has replied. What's needed is an option to block. If I block someone, I don't want to know that person exists on the platform and vice-versa. It would also keep my own threads protected against blocked accounts so they wouldn't be able to hijack discussion or do any trolling.
