I like this

If we are divine, then self respect. If one respects self, one can respect others.

I respect your views, not least because they are completely opposite to mine.
That makes it interesting.
Personally, I don't think we are divine. At all. We have more than enough on our plate trying to not be animals...
I settle for human. A beast with a divine spark, a radio that can be turned into the frequency of the Creator.

maybe "we are divine" = "divine spark"

I like you Y, I respect your views. My belief system is mine, and yours is yours. That's a great thing.
If I offend people, I don't mean to. If I do, oh well.
You have a sharp mind. Your view's, and others keep me grounded

Y ·

I'd give any supposed sharpness of mind for awakeness of soul.

You don't find this kind of discourse on x or fb. It's very refreshing

immortancrow ·

I think they are very similar.

Again we strongly disagree.
In my life, nothing has kept my soul more asleep than my own mind being clever and too full of itself.

For me the mind and the soul are not physical. They exist outside of the body. It's in the body that conflict arise the brain feeds ego. The ego is diseptive. But Im not here for that

Y ·

One way I look at it is that the mind is in the middle between body and soul and one of them controls it.
If the body controls the mind both of them make up what you could call ego. Basically a thinking beast trying to survive by any means necessary.
If the soul controls the mind, it's main task becomes ethics instead of survival. Love, instead of fear.

I don't think we have too different views...lol
