I must admit I have a really hard time believing that centrally authorized token protocols will have any chance against free-by-default ones.
But I am glad to see this experiment playing out on BSV

what do u mean central vs free by default?
Moneybutton for example just released their initial token protocol (SFP), where all transactions must be verified and approved by a central authority before they can happen, similarly to tokenized. You cannot send otherwise.
free-by-default means you can send permissionlessly, like USDC-RUN on @18754. It can still be possible to freeze or blacklist bad actors and their tokens if needed, but you are innocent until proven guilty, contrary to the other approach.
Ok i see. thank you for the info
There will be uses for both token types
I am sure there will ! and I am happy to see both being built on BSV
And moneybutton looks like they will be the first to have a very good web interface for managing tokens
Lots of positive from this! Just shouldn't have expected things, my fault
the problem is not these 10 token protocols that we have
that the problem is theres nothing being built!
How do i create an NFT token and hodl it in my easy to use chrome extension walet like metamask??
Where is the marketplace to trade?
token protocols have to come before wallets to manage them & marketplaces, but you are right. This should be different by the end of the year. I am not alone building things like this
Soon TM
can you be in bsv and not soon-ing ? I don't think so
😅
I had an idea to tokenize every bold SOON prediction as NFT
example:
"BTC miner death spiral by Calvin April 2020" 1 of 1 - Bids starting at 0.1 bsv
then you do yield farming for more special tokens

wouldn't be too complicated to do on Run with some oracles or a way to decide the outcome once the date has passed
not sure what you mean by yield farming for special tokens, not sure yield farming applies to simple bets ?
That would not be a good idea.
That's not actually how the Tokenized protocol works. All issued assets are subject to the rules of the issuing entity. Full stop. However, the request-response model of the Tokenized protocol means that users can't be censored/ignored.
