it's weird - i wanna respond to this but without pissing you off.

you don't know and prolly can't know where i'm coming from (place of love and friendship) and not a know-more-than-thou bullshit annoyance

mushroom is too generic ... but i get the vibe

there are actually classes of fungi and you're describing a particular variety of saprophytic fungi that live in the dark and grow on shit

e.g. white button mushrooms you see at the grocery store grow like this

but there are whole other classes of fungi(mushrooms), namely saprophytic vs mycorrhizal

mycorrhizal fungi may more closely resemble what we're all after in a decentralized organization ... a beautiful symbiosis between distinct, self-interested parties.
