I moved some bsv to Bittrex the other day. And while Bittrex does requires 12 conf, it took probably 4 hours for all 12. Does that sound right? Seemed like too long.

I've experienced similar. Makes it an all-day process :(

thanks for the reply! If nothinng else, it's just nice to know you're not alone in crypto-world.

Twetch ·

Totally. Also, 12 confs is absolutely ridiculous. Guess it’s the price we pay for living in the future 😉😎

Same experience same exchange. Withdrawing is fast. Makes trading difficult and risky.

Bittrex always takes ages to credit funds to your account its normal

With Hath pool mining empty blocks it doesn’t surprise me.

Twetch ·

Thx, will investigate what that means. 🕵️‍♀️

I was thinking that too.. theyre just letting transactions sit there so they can sell a service to their preferred customers at some point...?

Twetch ·

That mining pool is creating a lot of BSV blocks with no transactions in them, other than giving themselves the mining reward. I’ve seen them get 3 or more in a row which will push your first confirmation out 30+ minutes if your timing is unlucky.

Twetch ·

Interesting. I did not know that went on. I imagine it's because they can construct the block faster increasing the odds of winning the block reward? Huh. Wild. Thinking that all thru is a cool exercise.

Twetch ·

Poloniex is even worse

They use BSV for merged mining to support their own network I believe. They choose not to include transactions in blocks.

I’m not entirely well informed on the subject, but you can read more here: https://hathor.network/get-started/

They have a fair amount of hash which gives them good odds, but for some reason they don’t include any transactions, except the block reward TX. Empty block still adds a confirmation to previous blocks but doesn’t help you if your TX is still unconfirmed.
