Saying “I’m in it for the money, not the dollars” is like saying you’re not interested in inches, only rulers.
Money measures value. It facilitates exchange. It prices goods, services, labour, risk, and time.
An investment is something you expect to generate a return.
If your “money” only matters because you hope someone later pays more dollars for it, congratulations: you are not price agnostic.
