miners must continue to mine for bitcoins to move

mining reward is 92% block subsidy

block subsidy is cut in half every 4 years and will eventually hit 0

at some point in the future miners will not earn enough to cover costs

btc is a ticking time bomb

btc will self destruct

it will have nothing to do with price

miners will just leave

if a bitcoin cannot be sent or received, does it even exist?

BTC has 13,046,400 seconds left on that clock too!

Twetch ·

this is not fud, it is basic logic

the math is quite simple, and it is right in front of you

they will fork (change the protocol) or fail – likely both.

"soft-fork" is simply propaganda talk

It's prescient fact. I would bet on it.

Thats the if a tree falls in the forest type of deepness.

Twetch ·

What do you think they will implement? A continuation of current block reward and make an endless supply of BTC to be mined to grow with the population official count kept by BtC which isnt a data network so yeah...

Twetch ·

Only way miners leave is if it becomes unprofitable to mine. So it's ALL about price. Let's not fake the funk, 99% of crypto is about the price.

inflation
