In June 2022 in the UK, 23-year-old Char surprised her husband, Callum (28), with a life-size mannequin designed to look exactly like her, complete with the same face, hairstyle, and fashion sense. The idea was meant to be playful—a lighthearted “stand-in” for times when she was busy, exhausted, or simply needed a little personal space.
Rather than being taken seriously, the mannequin quickly turned into a running joke in their home. The couple dresses it up, moves it around the house, and treats it like a quirky piece of furniture. Surprisingly, Char says the joke had a positive effect on their relationship, helping reduce tension, lighten the atmosphere, and even improve communication between them.

My stepmom has a mannequin at she & my dad's house, they named Monica (my stepmom is a seamstress for enjoyment).
They love to play pranks with Monica.
The atmosphere in the house is casual, so family and friends just kind of pop in and out. I cannot tell you how many times I have gotten startled and learned lessons in my lack of self-awareness due to their damned mannequin 😅
