this makes me think of stephen wolfram's concept of [[irreducible complexity]] the idea that there are systems so complex that the only way to model them is to run that system... that no model can predict what this system can do and I think this is a good way of thinking about humans also... sure we are a calculation, but we are the "highest" calculation, we are irreducibly complex, no lesser model can predict us and so as we live our lives we "reveal" our story, which is otherwise impossible to know. we must live to reveal our calculation, which is really the universe's calculation, and this is what I meant when I said "we are a revelation", "we are the story"
