The upvoting didn't make any sense up until the last few releases. Specifically to be able to upvote your own stuff multiple times, this way you can communicate to yourself what's important, and then being able to rank things by vote: https://twitter.com/i/status/1246555934756876289

it still doesn't work quite as I want, but you should definitely upvote stuff bc soon I will make it kickin in to the search algo correctly. Also, even without the search, it's nice to be able to make lists, upvote the most important ones, and be able to sort the best to the top of the quest. so like best moments in the video for example: elon jre

Something I struggle with a bit wrt. upvoting is that some quests are "conversations", some are "writings" and some (very few it seems) are "lists/collections".

It seems like upvoting works for "highlighting" key points in conversations or threads, and _could_ work well for sorting lists and collections, but I've run into little enough of those that I can't see it yet.

really the upvoting isnt part of the core knovigator game yet... it will be. right now its more of a feature you use when you need it, not essential to the experience, but the end goal of knov is to curate and prioritize attention/content and so upvalue will be a big part of that
