I'm still disappointed I wasn't invited to the wedding of the left and big business.

I hear the marriage was performed by the state apparatus himself.

Worst ever punchline to a bad joke 🤣

Twetch ·

Unfortunately not a joke.

By the way, wanted to ask for a while:

Is your username referring to John Climacus? If so, why? Are you a Christian?

Twetch ·

My username is referring to a guy who referred to John Climacus by using it as his pseudonym. He published 2 books under the name Johannes Climacus and another book called Johannes Climacus. I am not a Christian, nor is the pseudonymus author!

Twetch ·

What does GNOTHI SEAUTON refer to?

Twetch ·

You KNOW that YOURSELF, don't you?

Twetch ·

I'm retarded! I haven't read the Apology in 20 years. I studied German and French instead of Greek & Latin.

Twetch ·

Hard to imagine today, but there was a time not so long ago when ancient Greek and Latin were the basis of higher education.

Twetch ·

That’s intentional.
The Latin that is now learned in law schools used to be learned in like 9th grade
Elitist Progressives have been trying to make the rest of us stupid for 100 years

Twetch ·

Said the pope to the emperor:

'You keep them poor, I keep them stupid.'

Twetch ·

I studied biblical Greek and Latin in university because my major was theology. Also some Hebrew.
That was about 10 years ago, can't remember anything I learned. Maybe I should start learning Latin again... 📖

Twetch ·

I studied philosophy, so at a certain point you either choose to study Greek & Latin or German & French depending on what period you want to specialize in.

Twetch ·

German was an option for me too, being Lutheran and all. I took some German in 5th and 6th grade, so I know the basics, but decided to go with Latin. Greek and Hebrew were compulsory for everyone studying theology.

Twetch ·

How do you expect to grift everything from them unless they are stupid
