i'm sorry, but the Book of Mormon and the Law of One both prove that Jesus was in fact a real person.
the problem is, most people misinterpret his mission coming here. which is why you see many Christian sects claiming to have the Truth of it.

The book of Mormon was just made up in the 19th century by a con artist.
i heard bitcoin was created by a scammer too.
What is your point?
you shouldn't just believe what people tell you.
In the case of the Book of Mormon, it's fairly easy to check that Joseph Smith was a con artist and that the book is just stuff he made up to con people.
so you have read it?
No, I don't think it's worth reading.
well how would you know that it's a scam or it's made up if you have never read it?
it's kind of ignorant to form a strong opinion on something that you have no knowledge about. some would even say that it's hypocritical.
Lots of proof of work has been done regarding the Mormon religion. If you don't believe me, you should see their temples in person. Big antlers.
yes, big antlers. you have to wonder how they got so big for being such a *scam*.
but the topic isnt the religion or Joseph Smith, because Man is always a fallible witness. meaning, that the Book can stand on its own merit, without the need for antlers.
Don't misunderstand me.
I have no dog in this fight.
I'm making a point about proof of work signals.
If antlers counted you would presumably be Catholic..
The book cannot stand on its own because you don't have the book. You have a "translation" into English of a non existent gold plated book written in a non existing language that was conveniently lost.
the bible is also a translation into english.
and how do you know for sure that they were "non-existent"? do you have proof? because i have proof of their existence.
If you read the book you got scammed by having your time wasted. You're supposed to identify scams before you waste too much time on them. https://medium.com/@jellistx/fact-checking-mormon-history-was-joseph-smith-a-convicted-con-man-9e4c56a7a96d
if we based the merits of BSV only on its founder CSW and his organization, nChain, would that be fair to bitcoin? same logic applies here.
A temple is a costly signal of having a lot of labor and resources, not a sign of having the right idea.
what does a miner represent?
you keep attacking the religion and the man but know nothing of the book. i would expect better from the Emperor of Bitcoin.
/pay @1711 $1 for proof of Gods Existence
I can't believe what a dollar can buy you these days! Lets hear the proof! BTW Twetch is amazing!!!!
thank you for having an open mind about it.
watch my channel because the proof is coming.
I thought it was shady when god told them to shank the sleeping dude and jack the gold plates but that doesnt mean I cant recognize the greatness that is Mormonism
i know every mormon 'conspiracy' and that one is new to me.
but if they did have to shank someone to steal the golden plates, that would actually prove the existence of them.
Remember when we talked about the Angler fish?
PoW on a file is a costly signal of having resources, not the right idea or something of value in the file.
And if you're paid immediately when people follow that signal, you're doing worse than the Mormons.
Miners are independent and in competition, the religious comparison is not ideal since there is limited independence or competition.
That's manipulation. Please stop expecting things from me.
i do expect a lot from people and for that i am sorry. i will begin thinking less highly of you as to not ruin my expectations.

POW is not a lure. Lures are illusions. POW does not look like anything else. It is a connection to reality.
The only belief system that matters for agents in the BitCoin system is that they are utility maximising.
POW is a costly signal of understanding how to transform energy.
Emperor, im no expert and i dont know for certain whether jesus was real or not, i do know that i have learned much wisdom from reading the gospels. In the gospels Jesus proved things with his actions more than anything,
@24 i guess the point i am trying to make is that humans learn best from stories. You continue to teach me this through your excellent videos and storytelling about bitcoin and markets. 👍
I am an informed-consent prophet. I make you aware that I am only telling a story. Many of the rest, such as Plato, Jesus, and L. Ron Hubbard, do not use informed consent. Imaginary worlds can be used to manipulate as well as inform.
The world of the forms is used to control. Heaven and hell are used to control. You know that I am speaking about a story.
agreed on your distinction. Youre a good story teller and an honest man! The emperor marches onward!
Thanks! :)
Is not the construction of the Mormon temple a transformation of energy?
And, when used to signal that a thing is worth paying for, PoW is a lure, just as a large tail on a peacock is a lure to potential mates.
Reading The Book of Mormon we are told that Jesus is the half-brother of Satan and that Adam was God. As man is God was, and as God is man shall become. That is the fundamental tenet of Mormonism. Adam was God. That's your religion’s teaching.
Everything is a transformation of energy. Building a temple is not a signal of being able to transform energy. That's what POW is. No, costly signals are not lures. Lures are illusions. Costly signals only look like themselves, not like something else.
The Mormons impress me more and more, the more I think about them.
Did you not read the book though? Some 'elders' called upon a house I was partying at the night prior, woke me up, gave me the book. So I read a bit of it. That was in there.
@39 @1711 @24
Revelation is very clear about those adding to God's word. Time will tell whether it's worth it's salt.
(Proof of work = creation. Love it)
What is it about Mormonism that most compels your belief in it, as opposed to other religions or mythologies?
You are arguing from definition.
You're also once again missing my point.
Sorry I guess I'm too dense! Might as well stop arguing about it.
Hold up. Mormon folks expect people to believe that some 14 year old kid found these magical stones and he was the only one that could read them? Yeah.....
is that much different than adults believing Moses made bread fall from the sky or half elephant - half human being holding a lotus flower existing?
Its difficult to ignore the risks or rewards of eternal infinite pleasure/suffering. My mind can't easily process infinitely skewed risk reward ratios.
If I'm a good obedient -insert religion here- then I don't have to deal with the risk.
That statement is obviously false.
Touche.
the mormons are the closest religion to uniting in heart, mind, and spirit, while also being closest to the Truth.
people can believe what they want to about them but from all the hardships they have had to endure, they have done remarkably well.
I truly enjoyed my time spent in the presence of Mormons
