It's not like physics and math where once you solve it, it's solved.Once you solve one piece, it gives you a competitive advantage, which gains you profit.Your profit signals to others the reality you found, which soon leads to competition and optimization

Rereading your original post,yeah economists themselves are often very dense.

Such that profit approaches cost of production. The fact that businesses exist, show that econmics is right. It's evolution via natural selection. You can know evolution is real and still have zero idea of what new species will come about in the future
