I'm looking at a form of monetization that is distributed to users. You keep like 10%. Like a pool distributed daily, weekly and monthly. Based on users activity. IMO the biggest challenge is to cope with bot accounts.
This could be done through third party ads. I know about 3 networks that pay based on unique visits.
Or it could something created from inside. But much hard to make it successful if you use platform's users to pay for the pool.
For example when a thread opens you could display an ad below. A small one. Ofc ads impact and add friction to the platform. But if it's distributed to users they won't care. Also a small fee for those who don't want to see them. Fee that wuld go to the pool.
Another form is to add third party games. Games that want to be played. This would go also to the pool.

Just some ideas. But we can brainstorm.
