I'm happy to say I now have a beginning, working knowledge of both Python and JavaScript/Node.
I am ready and able to help you learn either of these languages so that you can start building on Bitcoin for yourself.
If you're interested, message me!

I also have experience with Flask on Python, and am starting work on Express in JS.
My primary goal is to be able to help others to start building for themselves, and my secondary goal is to build something for myself, too.
I can also connect you with others who have more substantial development experience, which is important!
But there's nothing more vital to getting started than to begin, and that's where I can help most.
I'm In ! Let's go ! I just started reading books . I'm 100 percent computer dummy. Now that the internet age is changing I have a burning desire to learn let's go !
Congratulations!
Thanks!
It's taken a lot longer than I'd have liked... Life has been crazy, largely because of my own attempts to do too many things at once, but I'm making progress, and that's the most important part.
Yeah I wish more people would try to learn to program. You can do a lot right now in Bitcoin with it. There are a lot of programmers around but most of them don't know that they should want Bitcoin.
Sounds like a plan.
What is your starting point? What would you like to accomplish?
The thing is, it's one of the most generalized skill sets that anyone can learn. It's useful in almost any industry now.
Even if you don't program often, being able to program is a huge boost to your value as an employee or entrepreneur.
As for Bitcoin in particular... The sky is the limit.
No, adding a blockchain to a problem doesn't solve the problem... But Bitcoin as a system brings unique value propositions to the table that are factors in solving the problems that go unsolved today.

Not sure , I'm trying to install Java 8 now and the reading material I bought really does not explain all this stuff . The link it provide was for oracle's and not really helping me at all
It's been a looong time since I worked with Java. I'm being things aren't the same as they used to be. That was back in high school.
LMAO when I bought my first home nearly ten years ago , is when I finally figured out every home needs an office or at least a computer. I really never paid much more attention as I had someone always doing it for me
And now that I understand more and more where u are going w this clockchain and new net , I'm fully ready to learn . So tell me what's a starting point ? Do u provide classes ? Lol
Yes, a home office is essential. Making it somewhere to do serious work, study, and personal development is even better than what most people think of as an office.
I once tried to put together a Python course... The tools I was using weren't quite what I needed. Perhaps I'll be up for the task soon though.
I do, however, have a group dedicated to helping people like yourself get started building for themselves.
I'd be happy to include you in that group, though you should DM me on Twitter - I'm keeping invites controlled for the time being.
