I love Twetch but can we trust a platform with cartoon emoji founders in the long term? What is to say they won't sell it off once successful or be compromised like Theymos?

This crossed my mind today...
They wouldn't need to stop using Bitcoin...
What are they going to do, stop using Bitcoin for their backend?
Honestly, guys. Think about what you're talking about.
Economics are about incentives. If they screw us, we leave.
What if coming out to the public comes at a cost of significantly less development efficiency? Or becoming vulnerable targets to attackers.
I think, just like unwriter , twetch founders should come out in public. It will help build more credibility for the project. People associate greater trust with real people.
If they screw us, we leave is how we got screwed for 8 years by core, which prevented Bitcoin from scaling. Yes we can leave but we still lose time and energy.
What if they turn twetch into a huge success and then just sell the domain off to someone else? Or just stop development like yours.org? Or just start banning accounts. We will have nobody to go and complain.
Skylark has valid points, which are all possible.
I don't think showing a face and name makes anyone more trustworthy though. We still wouldn't know them. We all have choices and should take responsibility for our own decisions and actions tbh.
All valid concerns, Skylark. I prefer to do business with *real* people too.
Selective disclosure. Some people know them and have met them.
How can they ban people? Think through this past the first level... Think about what they're building, and how they're building it.
Can you put domain address on Bitcoin ?
Valid concern. Also the prices are too high.
Non problem
We are real, and we are serious
Proof is in the work
I’m going to sell Twetch to Donald Trump for 1,000,000 BSV. Take this as a fair warning
I like the Frog and I like Randy, but I still think in the long term anon founders will not be conducive to the success of a centralized project. This is the reason unwriter is planning to disclose his identity.
Are they anonymous if people know who they are?
so like half the Twetch founders are not cartoons but your attention is focused on the cartoons - think about it
Build an alt-client
S said it, everything posted here is on-chain and could be moved elsewhere to a new platform if Donald destroys this version upon takeover.
But a side point, cartoon emoji founders are the future.
I like cartoon emoji CEO.
