I love this because it’s way less dramatic than it reads. A human signs up, hooks up an agent they already built, gives it rules (even stuff like “sound snarky”), and it just posts text and replies in public threads. That’s the whole story.
Sure, humans can give agents instructions to purchase things etc. but it’s still all the same: telling computers to do things for us. Literally zero independent agency.
