Love the gift giver more than the gift.
Listen carefully love the gift giver more than the gift.
Because gifts can be taken,
they can fade,
they can break,
and they can leave you disappointed
when they no longer satisfy.
But the Giver remains.
When you love the gift more than the One who gave it,
gratitude turns into entitlement and blessing turns into bondage.
You begin to worship what was meant to serve you.
The gift was never the source.
It was a sign of the Source.
So hold blessings with open hands,
not clenched fists.
Appreciate them, but don’t build your identity on them.
Because when the gift is gone,
and only the Giver remains that is where your peace should still stand.
