Building a Bitcoin business... The kind of foundation you're developing...

Talking about more than just app development, but also, business issues.

Important to recognize that app development is business creation. I like that reminder here.

Dammit. I'm out of tea.

He's moving really, really fast here. Lots of info for Centbee's business.

I'll say this... I think they have a very big vision, and probably not enough resources to make it meet its potential - yet.

I think they are placed well in Africa, but need to keep working to compete globally.

This is partly based on my experience with Centbee, and partly seeing what they're building.

I have big hopes for their business. I hope they succeed in their vision.

I think this talk is best taken in full. Big messages, lots of supporting details.

So the themes... Regulatory compliance, business sense, etc. Professionalism, essentially.

I think this is very important, but again, I hope they're able to up their game.

Centbee as a social networking app... Eh, I don't feel it...

Wallets are not networks, they're tools to integrate with the Bitcoin network.

By all means, have a contact list, but that's not the same as a social network.

Twetch ·

Ok, Personal Paymail...

This is interesting. I think it's awesome, but I really want to dig deeper into the details. How does it work on a technical level?

Twetch ·

Wouldn’t it be 10X easier to use a wallet as a social networking app than to pair a wallet with a social networking app? Consolidation.

Twetch ·

The two serve very different functions. Why generalize a single application across two very different service types? It is detrimental to the user experience.

Best is to create interoperability instead. Social networks that connect with wallets.

Twetch ·

I think there may be room for both.

Twetch ·

Competition will do the weeding out... And that will be done based on resource usage. Generalization across different markets is resource costly.

Twetch ·

I’m all for competition, without it life would be boring.
