The best I can do is click the "lock coins" button below your post. That should help, somehow, if big brainers at BSV are correct.

can you explain more about the motivation, what this gives us above and beyond a miner's full node storing it?

nodes can prune transactions, and nodes can (and do) go offline. a goal here is to provide a piece of data infrastructure others can use to build from. you're correct though, if a full node offers this, the data could be retrieved, but i've seen a handful of indexers disappear already. JungleBus is good and WhatsOnChain have been doing well here.
