logs can expose sensitive information, sometimes without containing the actual files or messages.
1. PC details: operating system, hardware, installed software and device names.
2. File paths:
H:\Users\HOU\Files\ClientName\ItsAltSeasonBaby.pdf reveals a username, client name and what the document probably contains.
3. Activity: what you opened, searched, connected to or did—and when.
4. Identity clues: email addresses, account IDs, IP addresses and identifying URLs.
5. Actual sensitive content: poorly designed debug logs can accidentally capture messages, passwords, access tokens or portions of documents.
Let that sink in. If your IP is exposed combined with the above leaks, you will open yourself up to significantly motivated social engineering if somebody knows you have something they want...
