I've looked into this years ago when I had a physicist over at my place who swore the Earth was flat and satellites didn't exist.

A lot of things don't add up with the globe model in regards to curvature. The horizon is always at eye level for instance.

@1711 so many things wrong with this. For example, plenty of actual evidence (unlike the video you shown) where telescopes looking through way more than 50km on a straight plain...If the earth was measured at 35k feet a curvature shouldve been there

Find a powerful enough telescope and sure you'll see the other side..other than that its the laws of persepective

@1711 I had to watch that video twice..So in ancient Egypt some1 noticed there was a shadow on 6/21 and 50km away on what I can only assume is 6/21 of another year, someone sees no shadow..Sagan uses 2 sticks on a paper 2 show the earth has to be round.

Regarding the Earth I'm agnostic. There are inconsistencies in both theories. I'll have to go into space and see it with my own eyes.

The pictures NASA shows us are all computer generated, and not even consistent.

@1711 I think the theory evolves more around the biblical model, which is still spherical, while the Earth itself is fiat, but surrounded by waters above and below.

@210 The physicist Piccard was the first man to reach the stratosphere, he stated that it was flat with upward edges..(the ice wall)..which surrounds the entire land youwouldn’t fall off..next look at commercial airline routes..makes no sense on a globe
