Link access is like when you share a google doc link, only people with the link can access it

@pxl272 this is useful if you want to email or IM a thread to someone, they'll be able to read it without making it public for everyone else
Aight, I think I got it. I write a post on Link Access so I can share it. people with the link can read it but not reply. If I would share a post from Home the link would be useless (not showing the post). except they would already have been added to that Home thread. is this right?
Treechat users will be able to reply, but if the person with the link has no account or is not logged in they wont be able to reply. A treechat user would not be able to access a Home thread even if they had the link unless they were mentioned.
So basically if I was in a private Home thread and I wanted to share it with a treechat user, it's easiest to just mention them, but if I wanted to share the thread with a person not on treechat, maybe I did some research about best beaches in Thailand or something, then I would change the permissions to Link Access and share a link with the non-treechat person, but they won't be able to reply unless they created an account at that point. In the future, once we have anon posting the non-treechat person will be able to reply without an account.
thanks for the details 👍
