lets talk about ranking by [[upvalue]] when we rank the threads in a meme by upvalue we are using a market to prioritize the content which most represents that meme. we are answering the question as a community, using a market mechanism, about what we want to associate with that [[knovigator meme]]

how can you prioritize that knowledge?
how do you decide and signal to the community which knowledge is important, and worth paying attention to?
There's also the question of self-curating public content; when I'm searching, something I have myself upvalued is much higher signal for me personally than something some random community member has upvalued.
This could get very fancy with circle of trust stuff, but at the least, it provides a tighter incentive to upvoting: Upvoting isn't just what I think "might" be valuable to "someone", it's what _is_ valuable to _me_! (Because I want to make sure it ranks well for me specifically in my own searches/memes.)
