On Monday, August 5th, The Litecoin block reward was reduced from 25 LTC to 12.5 LTC at block height 1,680,000.
The Litecoin block reward is reduced by 50% every 840,000 blocks.

At the time of the halving, Litecoin's price was $99.36 (CoinMarketCap). At press time, Litecoin is valued at $89.99--about a 9.5% decrease from its price at the halving.
The next halving will occur at block height 2,520,000 and is expected to take place in August 2023.

With a block generation time of 2.5 minutes and a block reward of 12.5 LTC, about 7,200 LTC are expected to be minted into circulation per day.
