I know what my primary value add is.
I think differently than most people, which allows me to point out things that most people don't see or understand. Sometimes this includes pointing out manipulative practices by companies, as a specific example.

Yes - thinking differently is valuable, so long as you learn to communicate your different ideas effectively.
