Someone Boosts something there's still probably a 70% chance it isn't worth my time..that they provided a false costly signal. If they pay me, I don't feel like I lost time out of my life for nothing.
Twetch ·
I wouldn’t think something highly valued by someone that specifically “sends you something“ would be lost time, it sounds like an opportunity where signal is of upmost importance that can lead to something more valuable exchanged down the road.
Twetch ·
When you run out of time processing false positives, you lose that attitude.

I already know which of my peers will send me valuable information. No upvote system necessary. They've done the necessary PoW with their record of providing valuable information. The need for an upvote system is for dealing w strangers' content.
Twetch ·
So you’re saying BoostPOW is valuable to find new valuable peers?
Twetch ·
No. I think the results of BoostPoW system would be comparable to boost systems with better economics. Thus any business that implements BoostPoW will be at a disadvantage to businesses that uses boost revenue better.
Twetch ·
In the future there might be a Twetch version with BoostPOW that can costs dozens of dollars per Twetch or even a lot more. To communicate among them, more than money attached is necessary.
Twetch ·
Yeah, I'm not seeing normies play that game. I have thought it through and I think the only way BoostPoW lives is if it provides cheap associations between content and reviews, hashtags etc.. But for people boosting their own content, it's an epic fail.
Twetch ·
It's not epic fail wherever you go in society to BoostPOW (show off) some way & rapport to the matching level of people one sees. Not saying it's right, it's just life.
I'm BoostPOW'ing on a entry business level (accepting @852's twetch pricing) to post.
Twetch ·
It doesn't scale. When you get a large set of Boosts, people still cannot inherently judge their own content. So as the set grows, the signal to noise ratio approaches zero.
Twetch ·
Perhaps if you Boosted your critique, people would be much more inclined to try to understand your points.
Twetch ·
I don't believe in charity for wannabe-miners.
