I keep accidentally starting what I want to say in the search box instead of hitting "Thread",, I'm not sure I'm wrong, maybe the interface is wrong!? Maybe it should just have one box & I can start typing & it starts searching as well as letting me say it, so that starting to say something & searching are just the same thing.

haha... this is hilarious (and genius!). it used to work exactly this way and i did a huge ui update to change it to the way it works now, because everyone was confused about how to search vs write new posts... but i was thinking the exact same way as you very recently
ive also started writing in the search bar (especially bc this is how it used to work, it even had the auto search!)... i think one short-term solution is to create new threads with the text from the search bar populating the input after you press "Thread"

the current way is good for differentiating between searching and writing... but i think there is a compromise to be had as i mentioned
