Just spending a few days refreshing my limited JavaScript knowledge before continuing with NodeJS. It keeps tripping me up slightly, so I’ll get the basics down.

I'm in JavaScript hell... But, three books deep and a dozen online tutorials later and I feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel 🙏

Nobody said it was easy. I guess that’s the fun right? The sense of achievement will be great and I’m sure the more you use the more it becomes second nature.

We'll get there but just gotta keep coding everyday.

There are a ton of books out there but the "Head First" books by www.wickedlysmart.com are really good.

The front end nanodegree from Udacity was very useful to me for learning vanilla JavaScript

Its worth the money.

For books, read Eloquent JavaScript.

I have a few years of professional C# developer experience. I have zero knowledge of Java (lucky to spell it). I too have decided in the last few days to start learning node.js. I must say it’s a challenge! Thank goodness it’s in the Visual Studio IDE.
