Isn't it interesting how Craig Wright made big block bitcoin untouchable to many, just like Warpspeed Donny made policies like having an actual border untouchable for many?
Both are things you could easily convince someone of, if that person doesn't have some kind of allergic reaction to the face connected to them.
In both cases -- possibly without the faces (Trump, Wright) even knowing -- they were used to make people hate a common sense thing.
It's just as easy to convince someone that you can't have an open border under the circumstances we have now, as it is to convince someone that Bitcoin was crippled on purpose by those who don't want it to compete against fiat.
But if you slap the right face on it --and it must be a face that has enough character flaws -- you can make it all about the face instead of the actual thing.
It's kind of an inverted ad-hominem attack.

either big blocks have a business use, or they don't. if they do and it catches -- the hope goes -- faces will be irrelevant.
Peer to peer electronic cash that can't be inflated has a use case right now. A usecase so big that it's hard to come up with something that has a bigger one.
And yet, nobody is using it.
Because someone was clever enough to make it about faces. And because the faces made it easy to create an allergic reaction.
