Ironically, Marx wasn't anywhere near as wrong in his predictions as Fukuyama. It does seem like communism replaces capitalism, it just takes longer than Marx expected. His hilarious mistake was thinking that communism would be the pinnacle of history, when it is really just the late phase of the cycle when out of control power, corruption and degeneracy devour the already dead civilization like a fungus devours a dead tree.
