Looks very similar to Taal's STAS token. Where do you see the differences? What is SA solving that STAS doesn't?

I'm not sure... I do not have access to any other specification or how they solved it.

No one has been able to properly color Satoshis and perform all operations merge, split, etc. until now.

Why? Just provide a funding input and change output and sign with SIGHASH_SINGLE (ie 0th position funding input and 0th position change output)

You might want to have multiple inputs or changes. you need to chain transactions to have mergeable token set either way

That would be awesome to solve the n-input and m-output. (merge+split hybrid case)
