Imagine when independent studies can't be censored.
Where as a part of the funding for their research, all documents and videos will be put on chain. Where there is an evidential trail that can never be erased, and hosted on millions of different sites.

I thought we had the technology to censor on-chain; patented. being serious.

Find that link if you can! Very interested to read.

i really don't have the means any longer to find that information, I just recall it being discussed in a slack somewhere.

Scary if true.

if we used chain for records management, and records needed to be disposed (disposition) - we have to be able to do that.... it's possible.

At the end of the day the information will always be available, the question is where the information can be sourced from when nodes are massive.
The info will be there, but who will supply it. It will always be there though, immutable.

yeah, i thought about just trying to find it manually.... using "strings" from a command line or something ... heh

i'll give a hint. i believe it involves encryption, and proof of key burn

The one thing is that, if for example, you have a TXID I suspect there will be "specialised" companies which retain that particular information should you want it.
So one can probably rest assured that Twetch will hold all Twetch related data on hand.

you're assuming clear text information. what happens when we start using encryption channels?

& all using Bitcoin will know the time and date it was added and will know that it is indeed there.
Not perfect, but a lot better than the siloed information which can be deleted at a corporate / gov's whim. Leaving one with ZERO proof.

To be honest I'm not sure, but would assume that the overall dynamic remains similar.
In terms of key management etc I know CSW has had many talks, while HandCash is trying things, not to mention the Frog has his own ideas too.
The beauty is competition.

P.S by chance, you wouldn't be interested in on-chain encrypted chats would you?

i bought chat :) always happy to talk
