Imagine a browser that allows you to backup pages onchain, to uncensorably comment on any page without the need for a comment section or subscribing, to tip content creators natively

ALL of this can be done in 1 browser with a universal currency with BSV.

Thoughts on a bsv transaction youtube?

Twetch ·

do you mean a youtube competitor based on bsv?

streamanity.com is quite nice already (they host the content and use bsv for pay-per-minute)

hosting high quality videos on bsv is too expensive for most vids. That's where things like IPFS could make sense

Streamanity has fine interface and UX, but nobody is on it. Vids posted there get almost no views. There's very little good content there.

Need some kind of better onboarding & incentive to use. As a consumer and producer of vids, I get more via YouTube

You already know the solution 😉

exactly, that's why Brave's strategy is so smart.

You can pay on youtube & get paid on youtube, no need to move to another platform yet.

BSV should copy that for now instead of trying to rebuild from scratch.

I would argue that there's plenty of need but the friction is too high. Convincing smaller pools of creators is tougher than moving already primed niche communities a-la Twetch.

Even Noah had to build the Ark before his people could inherit the New World.

Their big mistake is not allowing 100% free content if uploader wants to, and they need much finer options for deciding which part is paywalled.

And as you say they need an onboarding startegy for users, much too complicated to use for non-bitcoin people

That's what needs to happen. Many great apps but view numbers not encouraging. Let's hope many wake up and see these great products.
