Imagine if Bitcoin were ALWAYS what BSV is now. No Core screwing with it, no splits, no ridiculous altcoin market.

Just adding current BTC, BCH, and BSV tx and block size metrics, we'd have:
Avg Block Size: ~2MB
Avg Transactions per day: 557k

This growth rate places us at the upper limit of current BTC, all-segwit transaction throughput. It's roughly 6.5 transactions/second.

And that's the *LOWER BOUND.*

Twetch ·

That is a strictly lower bound, assuming only what has been built would have been built.

No inclusion of other altcoins. No speculation on other goods/services produced.

All adding current figures.

The cost of Core and its actions was and continues to be extensive.

It is the unseen that often has more of an effect than the seen.

Like you said the opportunity cost of not having scaled BTC is huge. Fortunately I think BSV happened just in time to save Bitcoin from dying due to halvings and lack of on-chain traffic.

I agree. I see the pieces moving as they should to succeed despite all of these challenges. The question is more of execution than whether or not we have the path to follow before our feet.

We just need to do the work. If we do the work, it's in the bag.
